A guest bathroom by Rubina Ratnakar

Whenever we go out for a while to see some of our friends or our relatives, we definitely miss our home. One of the major reasons behind missing our home is the comfort and privacy we get when we are at our home. A bathroom is one of the most important elements that will determine whether you like your stay or not. In this blog, Rubina Ratnakar lists some ways of decorating a guest bathroom and making it the best experience of your guest’s life.

We all know what things we need when we go to a place other than our home. Make a list of all those things and provide all those to the guests. Some of the most common necessities are soaps, toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, dryer, and cotton swabs. Prepare a kit like the hotels do and provide it to your guests during their stay.

You should keep the bathroom airy and fresh. Open the windows and let the sunshine and sometimes the cool breeze in. This creates a positive vibe in the environment. If your bathroom doesn’t have windows, you should look for other ways of ventilation.

Add room fresheners or scents to the bathroom to make it more attractive and soothing. A good smell from the bathroom is a clear indicator of cleanliness and hygiene.

You should always place a new set of good-quality towels for your guests. Do not place old towels as some of your guests may not actually use them.

Add soft mats to the floor of the bathroom so that your guests don’t feel cold when they have to go to the bathroom at night or when the weather is cold.

While you are working at increasing the guest’s comfort, do not forget to add a good bathrobe and a good and comfortable pair of slippers for your guest.

Ensure that you have clean drawers and proper hooks at the back of the doors to provide adequate storage for the guests to place their stuff. Do all the things that you would want when you visit someone’s house.
