This pandemic has taught us a lot. We have learned many things which we never thought of doing ourselves. Nowadays, we have become habitual of staying at home and doing some basic tasks all by ourselves. One such thing is the salon services. Who doesn’t miss sitting and relaxing in the salon for hours? Well, you can have that experience at home too. In this blog, Rubina Ratnakar lists some steps to do a manicure at home.
The first step of a manicure even at the salon is to remove the accessories you are wearing and removing your nail paint with a nail paint remover. You should begin with clean hands.
The next step is to bring your nails in the right shape. Cut your nails and shape them before you proceed further. Make sure you make a good shape and file them properly so that they are not uneven and coarse.
The next step is to exfoliate your hands. This step is to remove all the dead skin cells from your hands. When you rub your hands with a good scrubber you can see that the tan will come off from your hands.
Wash your hands after exfoliation and remove any dead skin from your nails as well.
Once all the dead skin is removed, you should moisturize your hands to lock the pores that have been exposed due to exfoliation.
Your next step should be to apply a base coat of the nail paint you want to apply on your hands. Wait for it to dry and then apply the second coat over it. By using this way to apply nail paint, your nail paint is going to last for a longer time. Apply a third or topcoat on your nail paint if needed.
Let your nails dry and file any rough edges of the nails if there are any.
